Canadian Airlines Virtual Implements New System-Wide Schedule

TORONTO -- Canadian Airlines Virtual (CAV) is excited to announce the implementation of a new system-wide flight schedule effective today.

The new schedule features flights to 162 destinations from CAV's four hubs of Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, and Vancouver. Sixteen additional destinations are featured for the Winter months, including Carribean and Central American resort cities, as well as daily DeHavilland Dash 8-300 service from Toronto Pearson and Newark to Mont Tremblant, Québec.

From an operational viewpoint, the new expanded schedule was made possible by the recent acquisition of longer-range new and leased Boeing 737-700 and 737-800 platforms which recently replaced the aging fleet of Boeing 737-200 aircraft. The schedule also affords our more senior pilots the opportunity to complete "around-the-world" flight bids from Canada via two routes, namely London – Heathrow (EGLL) - Delhi India (VIDP) - Hong Kong (VHHH) or Frankfurt, Germany (EDDF) - Johannesburg, South Africa (FAJS) – Sydney, Australia (YSSY). As 2010 progresses, CAV will be implementing a new cargo schedule using our remaining B732 and DC10 aircraft.
